Resource Center
The Resource Center is the administrative center of FMS. The solutions to many difficulties faced by those we serve consist of daunting processes of paperwork and computer work that are challenging for anyone, but especially for those who have limited resources. Volunteers in the Resource Center work closely with those who need help to address a wide variety of administrative-related problems.
The Resource Center offers many different services. Some of our most often used services are:
We provide mailboxes for those needing a place to receive mail.
We help with the entire process of obtaining birth certificates, state ID cards and social security cards.
We offer prescription medication assistance.
We help reunify those living on the street with their family members willing to take them in.
We give bus tokens for doctor’s appointments and job interviews.
We provide rides to the food stamp office.
We offer free use of phone and computer for job search, government assistance, and medical- related use.
We help find and connect those in need with available resources based on the situation.
