The Loft

Dedicated in memory of one of our founding members, Dick Hight, The Loft is a community workspace for creativity and collaboration. It consists of The Art Studio, The Podcast Studio, The Music Room and The Coffee Lounge.

The Loft exists to contribute toward our mission of feeding people physically, spiritually and emotionally. The two primary ways The Loft accomplishes this is to provide creative outlets for people to express themselves, and to provide opportunities that will increase awareness and visibility of Feed My Sheep within our community.

People who are learning and using creative outlets open up emotionally in ways that allow us to build deeper relationships with one another. New skills, abilities and passions are discovered as we teach and share various art forms. Creativity also serves as a kind of therapy for those who are experiencing stress and struggles.

Currently, The Loft is offering weekly painting classes and guitar lessons. We encourage volunteers to use their passions to offer any other classes or lessons that we can facilitate in these spaces. Outside of lesson times and scheduled activities, members of the community are welcome to use the rooms of The Loft to create freely.

The Coffee Lounge is open as a community workspace and meeting area, but also has laptops free to use for writing poetry and other forms of literature, or for practicing graphic design and other digital art forms. The Podcast Studio is available to rent for those wanting to record their own podcast. The Music Room and The Art Studio are open to anyone wanting a space to practice playing music or painting.
